Help Deaf student Omar in Gaza

I am raising money for my good friend Omar in Gaza. Omar is a Deaf, 19 year old young man that I have grown close to over the past year. He graduated high school in 2023 and before October 7th he was working as a teacher for Deaf children in western Gaza. He communicates using PSL (Palestinian Sign Language). Omar is one of only around 30,000 native PSL users worldwide. Before October 7th Omar and his family were working to get papers and money together so Omar could travel abroad for university. He hopes to study graphic design in university. His dream since childhood has been to travel the world and support his family.
Omar was unable to leave Gaza before the escalation of the ongoing genocide. All the money Omar and his family saved for him to travel is long gone. It had to be used to meet the families basic needs amidst the ongoing genocide. After the destruction of Omar’s childhood home, he was forced to flee along with his Mother Maysaa and his sister Janah, who is also disabled.
Omar and his family now live in a tent and struggle immensely to get their basic needs met. He has also been unable to attain new hearing aid batteries. Omar and his family have lost almost all their belongings through multiple displacements. He has also lost many loved ones to the genocide. They often will learn about their loved ones have been martyred through the news. Omar and his family are seeking to evacuate Gaza when they can. They wish to join his father Nabil in Belgium.
While Omar and his family do all the can to survive the ongoing genocide, He also practices mutual aid and community care at his refuge camp.Please consider donating and sharing my good friends campaign to help Omar and his family survive genocide in Gaza and evacuate once they are able.
